Traceys two births - hospital induction & birthcentre waterbirth

The Positive Births NZ podcast - A podcast by Helen Bartrom

Categories:

Tracey shares her two births in the past two years to Xavier and Ryder. As a cross fit competitor, athlete and farmer we hear about how Tracey found the hypnobirthing breathing techniques to be a great skill transfer, how the relaxation tracks helped her cope with pregnancy insomnia and how the cows were some of her best inspiration in her first pregnancy. She shares with us what happened when with first baby her membranes released around her due date but nothing happenend, how she was very open to whatever needed to happen would happen and wasn’t attached to a particular type of birth, or place she needed to be in. This attitude served her well as she found herself in hospital undergoing an induction - and it was a hard induction with different doses of syntocinin administered to get her into established labour. She explains how the breathing and coming back into the moment, the mindfulness were the most helpful things to keep her going. And listen to the end to hear what her husband says the moment their second baby arrives....; )
