Emma's fast homebirth to Gordon

The Positive Births NZ podcast - A podcast by Helen Bartrom

Categories:

Emma shares her fast and furious, less than 2.5 hour arrival of baby Gordon at home at 42 weeks and 5 days - and technically a freebirth as the midwife arrived to her home after baby was born. Emma also suffered from a 4th degree tear which she matter of factly talks us through – this meant a trip in an ambulance straight after birth and a very positive hospital experience - she speaks to the caring compassionate staff she encountered in her time there. We talk about her slow postpartum, recovery from the tear (including how hypnobirthing techniques have helped after birth) and the positive fact of ACC now covering birth injuries. To learn the tools Emma used for her birth and recovery afterwards head to www.positivebirths.co.nz for group classes, online classes or private sessions with Helen.
