"I felt so supported and safe" says Ellen about the team around her for her labour and birth. While the plan was a homebirth, when she felt like it, Ellen decided to move to hospital and does not feel disappointment at all - in fact as you'll hear, this is basically a homebirth, with a room at the hospital used for some gas at the end. In this episode Ellen shares with us how her midwife said she never needed to make a decision about where she needed to be for birth, which meant she had the freedom to do as she felt. There was the opportunity for her to change her mind about other things too. Listen out for the info about the Labour Inducing yoga, the Relaxation and Breathwork masterclass Ellen joined with me, the visit from the fantail as labour started and the very special way husband Pat experienced this birth. There were also some unusual surges/contractions, an interesting position Nuala was in at one stage and a special move that Ellen's midwife made to help things progress nicely.
