Francis Fox Tuckett, alpinist and explorer renowned for scaling 269 peaks in his lifetime. The son of Francis and Mariana Tuckett, born in Winterbourne on the outskirts of Bristol, his first experience of climbing was with his father when he was only 12 years old.
